July 6-10 July, 2009, Porto

The Summer School on Neural Networks, NN2009, will be held at Porto, Portugal, jointly organized by the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Porto (ISEP) and the Biomedical Engineering Institute (INEB)

The previous six editions of the Summer School have reached a considerable success. Three opinions:

"NN2003 addressed current topics in neural networks and machine learning in a thorough and accessible manner ... presented relatively new material that I found extremely useful ... there was something for experts as well as for beginners" - Prof. Darrel Whitley, Colorado State University.

"The Summer School... was of a most impressive quality. ... the students were quickly brought up to a level where they could be introduced to more advanced material ... excellent introductions to neural networks, support vector machines, and genetic algorithms ...
The students could further master their skills by applying the course material to case studies in a state-of-the art computer laboratory... a most impressive extensive guest program ... I highly recommend this course" - Prof. Mark J. Embrechts, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

"NN2008 was organized perfectly, everything was very nice! It was a pleasure to spend a week in the very friendly environment. I was also impressed by the interest to my lectures from the participants. During last two days I have received a number of messages from them that they want to use MLMVN for solving different classification problems." - Prof. Igor Aizenberg, Texas A&M University-Texarkana, USA.

This year edition, NN2009 , includes lectures addressing new advances both in NN paradigms and in applications.
